In 2007, the World Health Organization and the Pan Canadian Joint Consortium for School Health (JCSH) co hosted a Technical Meeting on Building School Partnerships for Health, Education Achievements and Development (Vancouver, 5-8 June 2007), with the participation of education and health experts from about 30 countries and United Nations agencies. The Meeting built upon earlier work to develop strategies that will enable schools to respond more effectively to current and emerging health concerns and development challenges.

International delegates attending the World Health Organizations, technical meetings in Vancouver exercise together during a "hands-on" demonstration of the Action Schools! BC program at Braemar Elementary in North Vancouver, BC.

A "Report of the Technical Meeting of Building School Partnerships for Health, Education Achievements and Development" reports on the collective concerns and ideas about effective approaches and strategies that can be adopted by schools to promote health, education and development.
